Currently, we have approximately 12 Juniors registered within our Club and have approximately 5 that attend each meeting.

They participate within the Club Meetings by:

  • Helping with our bi-annual club auctions
  • Helping with the slab drawing (This is where members of the club bring in various identified slabs and we sell tickets and call out the numbers for the members to win and pick their winning slab(s), in order to raise money for the club.)

We are in the process of setting up a Youth Program, in the same meeting building, but in a different room at the same time as the general membership meeting takes place. In our past Christmas auction, we raised enough money to do so.

 January 14, 2015:

We just had our first official Kids Meeting at the same time as the Adult Meeting. We all decided on what we would like to accomplish and we created folders ourselves to hold all of our learning materials and things. The report was that they had more fun that the adults did at their meeting. Can’t wait until the 18th of February to have more fun.  See you there!

 February 18, 2015:

We had 10 youth this evening and continued working on starting the Merit Badge program. The youth range in ages, from 5 years old to 17 years old.

 March 18, 2015:

After our annual Show earlier this month, we now have a total of 26 youth! The largest ever. We are asking for more adults, being parents to help out with the program as we have from youth ages 5 to 17 years old. We are trying to work with all age groups to keep them motivated and busy learning.
